CINE GEAR EXPO RECAP

On June 1-4, the film production community welcomed the return of Cine Gear Expo LA to the familiar, friendly confines of The Studios at Paramount. Visitors had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the newest in technology, products, and services essential to help them ply their trade. The attendees of professionals included all aspects of production. Thank you to all who came to the IDX booth.

NEW IDX PRODUCTS 

Among the new products unveiled was at the IDX booth. The long-awaited Hi Voltage B-Mount batteries and charger were shown at Cine Gear. IDX has heard requests for this type of battery for a few years now. But IDX would not enter the market with a “me too” offering. It had to be better than what is currently on the market. This HV-B Series will join the three stud ZENITH Series in the IDX offerings for high-end and cinema production.

The new HV-B products include two batteries and a four-channel charger. The HV-160B has a capacity of 160Wh. The companion HV-320B boasts 320Wh. They are both capable of delivering over 10 amps. That, and the high capacities, made possible BY newly developed cells with high energy compact cells.

HV-B QUAD CHARGER AND OTHER OPTIONS

Of course, there has to be a charger capable of charging these new batteries. BL-4SX is our latest 4-channel charger designed for these batteries with 100W power. As is the case with current IDX batteries with USB-C ports, the HV series can be charged by IDX USB PD chargers such as UC-PD2 with 100W.
