Warranty - Two Years
IDX now offers the following (two) 2 year warranty as specified below on new products from the date of purchase. This warranty is in effect starting purchases on or after March 1, 2008.
ENDURA Li-ion Batteries with BMS (ENDURA ELITE/E-HL9/E-10, E-7)
- General manufacturing warranty is 2 years from the original date of purchase
- Batteries which are unable to charge to more than 70% of the Initial Nominal Capacity within 2 years from the date of purchase, and within 300 Charge/Recharge Cycles from first charge date will be considered defective.
- Must never have been operated or stored at over 60 degrees Celsius/140 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Must not have been operated continuously or been stored for more than 5 hours at over 40 degrees Celsius/104 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Must never have been discharged to or below 9.2V.
ENDURA Li-ion Batteries without BMS, NP Style Batteries and 7.4V Batteries (E-HL9S,E-10S, E-7S, NP-L7, NP-L7S, NP-1dx, NP-23dx)
- General manufacturing warranty is 2 years from the original date of purchase
- Batteries which are unable to charge to more than 70% of the Initial Nominal Capacity within 1 year from the date of purchase will be considered defective.
Chargers, Power Supplies and Accessories
- 2 years from the date of purchase.
- Warranty covers manufacturing defects caused by poor workmanship or materials.
7.4V / 5000mAh Li-ion Batteries (SSL-VBG50, SL-VBD50)
- 1 year from the original date of purchase.
Note:
- For the IDX warranty to be valid, users must follow the product operating instructions as per the Instruction Manual.
- Any damage caused by customers through neglect or incorrect operation, may cause the warranty to be voided.
Evaluation Fee for non-warranty models
Effective April 1, 2009, a $30.00 evaluation fee will apply to each equipment item no longer under warranty that is sent to IDX for diagnostic review. IDX Service Department performs extensive testing to determine product viability and reporting results to our customers. Upon completion of model evaluation and if no problem is found, the charge for services rendered will still apply.
Terms of Warranty
IDX System Technology Inc. warrants its products to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of two years from the date of purchase. If the products are determined by IDX to be defective or fail to meet minimum published specifications, they will be replaced free of charge at IDX's sole discretion. Except for such repair or replacement, IDX will not be held responsible for any direct, indirect incidental, consequential cost or damage. Should there be a warranty claim, you may be asked to produce your proof of purchase with the returned merchandise; therefore it is recommended that the buyer keep their receipt. Products returned for repair and not covered by warranty will be charged for at IDX's standard repair rates. This limited warranty is to be interpreted under the laws of the State of California, U.S.A.
IDX products should be used only with IDX approved equipment. The use of unauthorized equipment may result in the limitation or voidance of IDX product warranties. IDX does not authorize, condone, recommend, or otherwise assume any liability or responsibility resulting from the use of any battery, charger or accessory not made or sold by IDX. Please use only IDX original equipment.
Repair Services
(for North and South American customers only)
To return goods for repair which are either covered or not covered by warranty, an application for a Return Merchandise Number (RMA number) should be made by calling our customer service center at (310) 328-2850 ext. 315. If goods are shipped to us without this number, they may be refused. All shipments to our facility should be on a freight prepaid basis and fully insured by the buyer. If it is determined that warranty repair applies then the product will be shipped back by UPS Ground to the buyer at IDX's expense. If any other method of shipment is requested then IDX reserves the right to charge for the difference. If the buyer wishes to return goods for any other reason, they should contact their place of purchase.
Effective April 1, 2009, a $30.00 evaluation fee will apply to each non-warranty model that is sent to IDX for service and/or repair. The fee will cover the following:
- Batteries:evaluation, reconditioning, data extraction and refreshing (when applicable).
- Chargers/Power Supplies/Accessories:evaluation, physical review and diagnostic analysis prior to actual repair.
The $30.00 evaluation fee will be waived if the charger/power supply needs to be serviced and has been approved for repair. If evaluated units are determined to be in need of repair and the customer declines to have the product serviced, the charge for the evaluation performed will still apply.
Approved repairs on out-of-warranty items will be charged at a rate of $50.00 per half-hour of labor plus cost of parts.
